A "Normal" Meeting

Peninsula Pros had a "Normal" (for us at least) meeting with four prepared speeches and the usual superb round-robin evaluations for which the Pros are famous. With TMoD Rachelle Onishi at the helm, it couldn't be anything other than an exciting and fun-filled adventure.

Arnie led off with a #4 speech from the CC manual (which he is doing for a third time - one of these days he'll get it right!) focusing on interpersonal communications skills, titled Where Words Can Lead You.

Next, Dave Empey gave an advanced speech from Technical Presentations advanced manual titled The Archimedes Codex, which was chock-full of interesting and informative material. Who knew that mathematics and making a book .. er a codex ... could be so entertaining!

Steve Rawson cranked the entertainment aspect up a notch with his Storytelling speech Van Hunks and the Devil.

Fred Sadler provided the ideal closer with his #2 speech from "Speaking to Inform" How I Grew to Love the Marsh Building.

Reminder: Our next meeting, Wednesday February 27, will be "Toastmasters Night Out" - a chance for the club winners in the division to practice their contest speeches and receive feedback from the Pros members.
